I have an author page on Facebook and I am on Instagram. These are where I share the latest news about my work and announce upcoming appearances. I am a Distinguished Professor of English at Stony Brook University, where I have been a member of the faculty since 2002. I have also held visiting positions at Columbia, NYU, Princeton, CUNY, and Williams. My courses focus on the writing and study of poetry, the history of poetry, contemporary literature, translation, and, on occasion, literary sportswriting.

Finally, for the music lovers in all of us, you can find a playlist for Silver here. Composers have made musical versions of my poems for the albums Poètica and Ay Que Boogaloo. I’ve made other playlists over the past few years, including: The Rowan Tree, Outline, Force Majeure, Long Day’s Journey Into Drums, V, and Paso de Cuatro.

Happy reading, happy listening, and hope to see you around. Long live poetry.
